Welcome to Geometry
 

This course sharpens thinking skills by teaching the process of logical reasoning and deductive thinking. The purpose of geometry is to prepare students to be able to utilized geometric concepts in the real world and in future studies.

Mission Statement

 

         The mission of HPHS Academy of Engineering and Green Technology is to graduate Hartford students with 21st Century skills who are prepared to succeed in post-secondary education and careers in engineering and green technologies.

 

 

Vision Statement

 

The academy is designed for students who plan to continue their education beyond high school with a special focus on pre-engineering, engineering technologies and green technologies. All students are expected to complete a rigorous academic curriculum integrated with workplace-based learning opportunities, job shadowing and internships. The Academy will reflect the high educational outcomes of the State of Connecticut.

Don't forget, we're working in two semmester projects which is application of geometry in the real world. Students will be teamed up with other students and form groups who will work in the mid term project and the final term project. students will then do a presentation of their work using the overhead projector, or other visual materials. 
Pre-test evaluation, all students are being evaluated with a series of 3 tests which range from easy to more difficult.
